Dr Boxrud will be appearing on ABC news on Sunday April 30th at 11 PM (after Grey's Anatomy). The segment will show how she performs Bilateral Upper Eyelid Blepharoplasty (Cosmetic Upper Eyelid Surgery) using minimal local injections in conjunction with acupuncture. The acupuncture is performed before the surgical procedure and helps the patient relax as well as desensitizes certain areas of the eyelid.
Many of our patients have been looking for a viable alternative. Instead of using sedation, we can use acupuncture needles to help with the sedation. Dr Kaneko, who has been practicing acupuncture at the Tao Healing Arts Center in Santa Monica for over 25 years, is assisting us. When the surgery is finished, the patients have a sense of well being and are safe in that they have less risk.

We recently had a Botox and Injectables evening for people who have rigorous work schedules and are not always able to come to the office during regular office hours. As usual it was a success and patients were able to have all there questions answered by the appropriate reps. Due to the high demand we will be hosting another evening like this in July.
